For the love of Africa…

One of the things I love doing is discovering amazing unique little businesses and I have found a lovely way to inspire the next generation with beautiful, bold, bright , fun art that makes a difference this Christmas and have to share it with you.

After spending some of my younger days travelling Africa, I am left with a piece of it in my heart that will remain forever. Its difficult not to love the beautiful country and the wonderful little communities that you find hidden in remote places off the beaten track. I always find myself drawn to the things that remind me of the time I spent there and my children have developed the same love for it that I have.

One of my favourite discoveries this year was coming across Kili Tingatinga Art.  My passion for Africa meant that my 4 young children have listened to all the Tinga Tales and enjoyed many wonderful stories, such as ‘How the elephant got his trunk’, so to find such beautiful artwork that brings these stories to life was very exciting! The artwork is beautifully created with bold bright colours and fun African characters and you can feel the love that went into creating them. They really are pieces that will bring any room to life and a smile to your face.

What makes Kili Tingatinga Art so special is that it is much more than just art created by extremely talented artist, it also offers poverty stricken communities a means to provide for themselves and their families. Yael Maree is the proud founder of this fantastic concept and her passion and dedication to help others is inspiring.

If you are looking for something unique, something that will make a difference and something that will be loved and enjoyed for years to come then please head over to Kili Tingatinga Art and take a look at some of the amazing artwork they have to offer. My older two boys (6 and 4) are very excited about their African themed bedroom and have picked out some great pieces to ask Santa for this year 😉
